 Angela has over ten years experience in school management. She has been a school bursar for over 12 years and for 7 years was bursar at The Yehudi Menuhin School, an independent specialist music school in Surrey.

 Nathan passed his Grade 1 Drum Kit at the tender age of 5! Since then, he’s shared the stage with acts such as Enter Shikari and Don Broco, as well as working with AC/DC producer, Pete Coleman. Now a multi-instrumentalist, Nathan continues to fit a range of dep-work into his busy schedule!  Nathan is also a graduate of the School of Audio Engineering, starting an independent production company, producing and mixing bands and gaining airtime on Scuzz and Kerrang. He has taught in post-16 education for 10 years, managing the ELAM Music dept. before focusing on his role as Assistant Principal.

 David attained First Class Honours in his Music Production degree at Leeds College of Music before qualifying as a teacher at the Institute of Education. He has performed at the likes of the Roundhouse and Glastonbury Festival and released his own music on iTunes and Spotify. Prior to ELAM, David established his teaching career within the hugely successful music department at the BRIT School.

 Charlie is both the Principal of ELAM and one of the primary architects of ELAM’s Education Plan, Vision and Values. As Principal, Charlie also sits on ELAM’s Board of Governors. From 2012, Charlie was a Director of Teach for Malaysia based in Kuala Lumpur where he led on the strategic development of the Programme in Malaysia and managed its large-scale growth over the two years he was in post.

 Camilla has taught English in Burnley (on the Teach First programme) and in East London. Before this, she studied English and French literature at university and lived in the French Caribbean. Camilla has been interested in music for many years and plays the piano as well as teaching English.

 Katie has been working in the music education sector for 8 years as both a freelance music tutor and secondary/further education teacher having qualified from the Institute of Education. As well as holding Lead Practitioner and BTEC Standards Verifier status, Katie has acted as International Ambassador to design and collaborate on creative learning in Taiwanese education. As an active session musician in various function bands Katie has been the songwriter and co-producer of electro-pop outfit 'Catchlight' since 2008, regularly performing in venues and festivals across the UK.

In 2010, Ed obtained a PGCE in Secondary Music from Goldsmith’s University, before running a successful Music Technology post-16 department in south London.

 Adam has over eleven years experience as a classroom teacher, assessment co-ordinator, enrichment co-ordinator and head of department. He has enjoyed working in schools in Uganda, Sudan, Rwanda, Spain and Surrey. Adam graduated with a first class honours degree in Mathematics, and a Masters in Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Analysis. He has previously worked as an investment banker, as a cocktail bartender and with disabled children. Adam enjoys playing basketball and creative writing.

 Ayesha is a graduate of the Teach First Programme where she taught Maths in Pimlico Academy for three years. Following on from this Ayesha moved to Oxford to continue the challenge. Before teaching Ayesha worked in the music Industry administering an independent record label and as an agent for the UK’s premier jazz bookings agency. Ayesha holds a degree in psychology from The University of Durham.

Having performed in some of the top jazz and classical choral ensembles in Vancouver, Canada, Jamie turned to pursue his passion in teaching. In addition to building diverse musical programmes, Jamie has founded a Canadian charity that partners with local, grassroots initiatives in India.

Jamie graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. Having performed in some of the top jazz and classical choral ensembles in Vancouver, Canada, Jamie turned to pursue his passion in teaching.  Alex comes to ELAM having studied Artificial Intelligence & Software Engineering at the University of Manchester and Music Technology at the University of Bedfordshire. He brings with him over a decade's worth of experience as a professional in the music industry. Alex has worked in venues of all sizes across the UK including the legendary outdoor concerts at Knebworth House.
