Today, Ben and Merf from production outfit TMS visited ELAM to break down their creative process and provide our Trainees with some valuable insights on recording with the likes of Ella Eyre and G-Eazy plus more.

We had the pleasure of hosting the master David Rodigan at ELAM for our Masterclass series. Rodigan talked us through his career and the importance of music in our society. Of course he blessed us with some incredible music as well. Thank you sir!
ELAM Masterclass - Annie Mac
This week as part of our Masterclass series we had the pleasure of welcoming Annie Mac into ELAM.
The established DJ spoke to our Trainees about her story through the broadcasting industry and building her brand. Now being a key tastemaker in the UK, with her weekday BBC Radio 1 show and AMP tours, Mac also gave advice on the Do’s and Don’t’s of sending out music to Radio Stations.

Work Experience
It’s that time of the year again when our year 12 Trainees have the truly unique opportunity to apply for a two week work experience placement with some of the biggest names in the music industry. As part of our Professional Development Programme this year we are excited to offer our Trainees a range of different roles, from working as a Radio Plugger at Listen Up to Marketing Assistant at Polydor. The Trainees have to apply for the placements via our Web-portal, sending a strong cover letter and CV to be selected for their chosen role.
As part of our Masterclass series we also had Entrepreneur Liam Tootill, Director of SB.TV and Supa Academy, come in to deliver a talk on how to make the most out of your work experience placement. In the Masterclass he offered advice on the preparation for work experience as well as taking part in a Q&A session with our Trainees.
ELAM Masterclass - Redlight
This month as part of our Masterclass series we welcomed music producer Redlight into ELAM.
During his visit he led a small Masterclass session based in our studios. Trainees were able to play their own tracks to the producer gaining feedback from his experience. Redlight also went through a selection of his breakthrough tracks, explaining how he created them step by step.
