Pastoral Support and Wellbeing

Our pastoral team supports trainees to manage the challenges of college life and ensure that everyone feels safe, supported and able to thrive. We recognise that wellbeing plays an important role in helping trainees engage in learning and achieve their potential.

Wellbeing and Pastoral Support

Trainees can access support for a range of issues including:

  • emotional wellbeing

  • managing stress or anxiety

  • attendance and engagement

  • organisation and motivation

  • personal circumstances affecting learning

Support may include mentoring, wellbeing check-ins and guidance from the pastoral team.

Confidential counselling support is also available for trainees who would benefit from speaking with a trained professional.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. If a trainee has concerns about their own safety or the safety of others, they should speak to a member of staff.

Our safeguarding team works with external agencies where necessary to ensure trainees receive appropriate support.

Contact the Pastoral Team

Trainees can access support by speaking to their tutor or contacting the pastoral team.
